Eddie D. Jarwolo is a seasoned leadership development expert and democracy advocate with over two decades of experience in civic engagement, grassroots organizing, and democratic governance. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, established in 2001, where he has led pioneering initiatives to strengthen citizen participation, accountability, and leadership across Liberia and the ECOWAS region.
With a background in Sociology and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration, Mr. Jarwolo provides strategic policy guidance to governments, election management bodies, political parties, civil society organizations, and academic institutions. His extensive contributions include mentoring more than 500 emerging political leaders, enhancing the capacity of over 2,000 Liberian youth, and facilitating more than 200 civic engagement initiatives.
In 2016, he founded the Young Political Leadership School Africa (YPLSA) to cultivate a new generation of ethical and accountable political leaders. A year later, he introduced the President Meter Project, Liberia’s first systematic tool for monitoring presidential campaign promises and government agenda, which has become a widely recognized instrument for promoting political accountability.
Mr. Jarwolo is an active member of the International Leadership Association, the World Movement for Democracy, and the African Movement for Democracy. His global engagements include participation in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (2005), the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship (2008), and the Community Solutions Fellowship (2011).
He continues to contribute to regional democratic processes through election observation missions in partnership with ECOWAS.
