Peace T. Mahteh-Boyee

Biography

Peace Thor Mahteh-Boyee is the Program Director at Naymote Partners for Democratic Development; she multitasks and coordinates a series of projects at the institution. As part of her responsibilities, she oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive programs across various themes, such as promoting democratic governance, political accountability, and leadership across the focus counties. Also conducts training, writes proposals, reports and mentor young women in Liberia.

She is married, a mother, and a journalist with over six years of experience in grassroots community organizing and leadership development. She is a graduate of the University of Liberia with a Master of Arts in International Relations. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from the African Methodist Episcopal University, post-graduate certificates in Management of Democratic Elections from the University of South Africa and Monitoring and Evaluation from the Liberia Institute for Public Administration.

She is a strong team player and has led several projects for the institution whilst, working on issues promoting democratic governance, women’s political participation, empowerment, health issues (Ebola and Coronavirus) at the community level as well as elections management. She is an activist for women’s rights, gender equality, and empowerment. Peace envisions a society of transformational leaders who can contribute positively to address some of the challenges faced by women and girls. She has attended several pieces of training and development programs in and out of Liberia. She is innovative, committed to leveraging her expertise to drive organizational growth and contribute to mission-driven efforts in her endeavor.
