Leveraging Lessons from Combating Ebola in Liberia for COVID-19 Efforts
Naymote Partners for Democratic Development’s new report summarizes the results of their Community Action Platform Against COVID-19 project, which mobilized Liberian communities and connected them with 45 local organizations to help educate and provide resources to combat COVID-19.
The project leveraged methods and lessons learned from their Ebola outreach experience, including the importance of collaborating closely with local leaders and giving them a voice in decisions. As a result of that approach, “there is an increased awareness in communities about the virus, … communities have openly engaged and appreciated the project especially its partnership framework.’’
