Deputy Program Director
Peace Thor Mahteh-Boyee is the Deputy Program Director at Naymote Partners for Democratic Development; she multitasks and coordinates a series of projects at the institution. As part of her responsibilities she conducts training, writes proposals, reports and mentor young women in Liberia.
She is married, a mother, and a journalist with over six years of experience in grassroots community organizing and leadership development. She is a graduate of the African Methodist Episcopal University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication.
She also holds post-graduate certificates in Management of Democratic Elections from the University of South Africa and Monitoring and Evaluation from the Liberia Institute for Public Administration.
She is a strong team player and has led several projects for the institution whilst, working on issues promoting democratic governance, women’s political participation, empowerment, health issues (Ebola and Coronavirus) at the community level as well as elections management. She is an activist for women’s rights, gender equality, and empowerment.
Peace envisions a society of transformational leaders who can contribute positively to address some of the challenges faced by women and girls. She was admitted in 2009 into the African Methodist Episcopal University on Camp Johnson Road and in 2015 obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication. She also holds post-graduate certificates in Management of Democratic Elections from the University of South Africa and Monitoring and Evaluation from the Liberia Institute of Public Administration. She has attended several pieces of training and development programs in and out of Liberia.
