Biography

Joshua Dennis Cleon is an inspiring and result-oriented professional with over 10 years working experience as a Program Manager and institutional capacity development specialist. He’s a youth advocate promoting inclusive youth and women participation in democracy and governance processes in Liberia. Currently serve as Deputy Programs Director at Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, Liberia’s prime democratic advancement institution with over 10 years’ experience developing and managing donor-funded projects focused on Political Accountability, Youth Civic Engagement, Leadership, Community Organizing, Natural Resource Management, Empowerment and Education, Decentralization, and Local Governance, Elections, etc.

Joshua is a 2017 U.S. Department of States International Exchange Alumni (International Visitors Leadership Program), 2016 Youth Organizing School Fellow (OPACE 4.0), Manager-Young Political Leadership School Africa, Team Leader-Liberia Decides, honorary citizen- City of Pensacola (Florida), ICT enthusiast, change-maker, researcher, influencer and youth leader.

Earned a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) Degree in Public Sector Administration from the Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, BSc degree in Information Technology from the United Methodist University, a Graduate Certificate in Project Planning and Management from the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), and also a Graduate Certificate in “Elections Management” from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Pretoria.
