Grooming Young Women Through Mentorship for Leadership

We at NAYMOTE-Liberia are contributing to the formation of a new generation of young female leaders that could bridge the gap in male dominated society. It is said that when women play an active role as decision makers, the economic and social well-being of their country thrive and remain peaceful.

Since 2018, we started our young women’s empowerment program, we have provided political leadership, and campaign planning training as well as mentorship through leadership for over 300 mid-level professional young women across the 15 counties; we are helping them gain the skills needed to take on greater leadership roles in Liberia with support from the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), the National Endowment for Democracy and UN Women Liberia. Watch the documentary to learn more about our young women empowerment program.

With our support, the National Young Women Political Council of Liberia was established in 2019 and grooming young women into political leadership through mentorship, as well as amplifying young women voices in democratic processes.

We are coming big with financial support to increase the participation of young women in the electoral process across the 15 counties.
