Through Naymote-Liberia and USAID-Liberia, Health CSOs Partners Gain Knowledge in Craft Compelling Stories

Under the framework of the Civil Society Activity (CSA) project, NAYMOTE-Liberia, in collaboration with USAID, is holding a Five-Day Workshop in various aspects of the CSA Project. Day 1 & 2 Health CSO Partners will be trained in Communication and Media Strategy while Day 3 – 5 is devoted to Research Method – (Survey Practice, Interviews and Focus Group Discussion) and Data Management Presentation as part of Civil Society Activity (CSA) project. The event is being held at D’Calabash Hotel in Monrovia from 4-8, September 2023.

The primary objective of this training is to ensure that the CSA Health partners have the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement the media strategy materials and communications that are required to effectively communicate health messages, it is also designed to help participants learn the fundamentals of effective communication strategies necessary for engaging in policy reform advocacy in order to influence decision-making processes and improve the quality of health care services through effective communication strategies to the general public.

The ability to craft compelling stories is another valuable skill that participants gain from this training. Effective storytelling has the power to evoke emotions, capture attention, and inspire action. By learning how to tell stories that resonate with their audience, participants can effectively communicate their advocacy goals and generate support for their cause.

Sessions are facilitated by Maureen Sieh, CSA Consultant and George Steward, Consultant.
