NAYMOTE REACTIVATES THE LIBERIA BUS PROJECT

As we draw closer to the 2020 Special Senatorial Elections and National Referendum,  NAYMOTE-Liberia has reinforced its civic engagements for the elections by reactivating the Liberia Bus Project in the 15 counties. The Liberia Bus Project is a non-partisan, civic engagement initiative intended to drive change, leaders and votes, and ensure increased participation of eligible voters in democratic processes.

Our pool of volunteers across Liberia will embark upon bus ride in communities, at schools, visit markets, hold coffee shops’ discussions and town hall meetings and most importantly educate citizens in hard to reach communities about the importance of a violence free election and how significant it is to vote as citizens. Our passionate volunteers will also conduct street talks on the electoral processes in order to understand citizens’ fears and hopes about the process and empower them with information to get out and vote.

These activities will be implemented throughout the electoral process. This effort is part of Naymote’s series of engagements geared toward strengthening the democratic processes of Liberia and maintaining peace of the country.
